Mark trapped this beautifully marked Blood-vein and a Peppered moth in his Motcombe garden trap on 22/06/23.

The Blood-vein can have three generations in the South, from May running through to November.

The Peppered moth has an interesting history with regard to its colour forms, where pollution played a part.
