Brian found two Essex Skippers on 7/07/18 at Durlston after searching for a long while each summer.
They are not the easiest of skippers to identify as you need a very good photograph or brilliant eyesight to see that their antennae appear to have been dipped in ink.
Essex Skipper is not readily found in Purbeck so Brian was very pleased to spot these two on the same day.
