Jill saw this butterfly in the DWT meadow at Lower Kingcombe on 1 August and commented that it is only the second blue she has seen there this year.

I thought all the butterflies might have drowned – however today, 14/07/2024 a little more fruitful. Photographed this Small Skipper at lunchtime in the Kingcombe reserve.
The Common Blue is our most widespread blue butterfly and Jill spotted this one on 19/08/2023 in the meadow at the DWT Reserve at Kingcombe.
