Two more photos from Jill who told us that after spending some time in the DWT Kingcombe Reserve looking for butterflies she returned to her home in Kingcombe and found these two butterflies in her garden.  Both photos taken on 16/08/2024.

Jill sent in this photo of a Common Blue she saw yesterday, 01/08/2024 in the Dorset Wildlife Trust Meadow at Kingcombe telling us that it was only the second “blue” she has there this year.

I thought all the butterflies might have drowned – however today, 14/07/2024 a little more fruitful.  Photographed this Small Skipper at lunchtime in the Kingcombe reserve.
