Following a visit earlier in the week, I returned to Higher Hyde Heath early this morning, 30/05/2026 and it certainly paid off. Numerous SSB about as well as Painted Lady’s.  I was fortunate to capture pictures of mating pairs as well as recent emergants still being tended by ants (some of the ants can be seen on the butterfly in the first photo).
