This afternoon, 03/05/2026 we did one of my favourite butterfly walks, along the base of Ailwood Down between Swanage and Corfe Castle. It was sunny and sheltered from the wind and in total we counted 11 species consisting of about 90 butterflies including our first sightings this year of Green Hairstreak, Small Heath and Brown Argus.
