Two photos from Sue both taken in Hinton St Mary – the Speckled Wood was taken in her own garden today, 18/04/2026 and the Scarlet Tiger caterpillar yesterday, 17/04/2026 in the Village Millenium Garden.

The Scarlet Tiger is a day flying moth with just one generation in June/July and the most common larval foodplant is Common Comfrey which is what it is resting on in this photo.
