Two photos from Brian sent in telling us:

Despite dull weather today, 03/09/2024 six species of butterfly in our Harman’s Cross garden including Green-veined White and Small Heath. Others were Red Admiral, Speckled Wood, Small White, Meadow Brown. The Small Heath was settled on bamboo leaves, something I have not seen before, but later in the day it moved to some fleabane, which is popular with lots of the butterflies in our garden.
