Two photos from Mark taken today, 25/06/2024 at Alner’s Gorse and sent in telling us:

Two perfect summer butterflies.  A wonderfully fresh Silver-washed Fritillary and an even fresher Marbled White which was still preparing its wings ready for flight.

Editor’s Note:  This Silver-washed Fritillary may well be the first sighting of one reported to Dorset BC this year – last year, 2023 the first sighting of one reported to us was 8 days earlier on 17/06/2023.
