Shona just couldn’t resist making a detour to Giant Hill, Cerne Abbas on her way home from seeing the Wood Whites at Lyme Regis on 01/06/2021 and whilst there she was lucky enough to see a Duke of Burgundy nectaring on a buttercup.  She told us that according to Peter Eeles they rarely nectar, but are more likely to do so on very warm days which it certainly was (one of the hottest days of the year so far).
