Yesterday, 29/03/2021 we celebrated our new freedom by visiting the wood at Langton Matravers. We have helped with the coppicing over the years and missed out on seeing it in the Spring last year and so this is the first place we thought of going.

Right near the entrance we saw our first Brimstone and many more throughout the 2 hour walk. We also saw a few Peacocks and many Bee flies as well as birds and bird song. The bluebells were showing colour and a few out fully. The various coppiced areas were showing a profusion of colourful flowers, a truly magical place for us.

Oh yes, we also saw 2 Swallows on the coast and a few Early Spider orchids in full flower.
