Back on 5/07/20 Brian found this Scarlet Tiger moth, lurking as he put it and sheltering from the strong winds that day on the coastal path at West Lulworth.

This species is unmistakable, and flies by day, the males patrolling wildly in the afternoon and early evening. It also flies at night and comes to light.
