Shona seized the moment to capture this remarkable photo of a Wall which she sent in telling us:

I just had to send this one in, taken earlier today, 29/09/2020 in Rodway Mead, Lorton Meadows. This female Wall Brown was perfectly happy for me to take photos of her underwings as she sat on the grass, a view which is impossible to get when they sit on walls! As soon as I crept around her to try for an upperwing shot she was off like a rocket – not at all happy to be approached from above!
