Brian sent in these photos of a Common Blue telling us:

The last 2 or 3 days of nice weather have resulted in some newly emerged butterflies appearing in our garden at Harman’s Cross including today, 29/09/2020 this very fresh-looking Common Blue. This is presumably a 3rd brood. The last ones seen in our garden were very faded and tatty on 29/08/2020.
