Two photos from Shona sent to us with the following comments:

On Tuesday (19/05/2020) I walked round Badbury Rings between the two innermost Rings as usual. There were no great surprises there, apart from meeting Brian Arnold and his wife!

Just before going home I looked at a small area of rough ground adjacent to High Wood and saw two Green Hairstreaks, two Small Blues and a number of other butterflies. Then, to my delight, an orange blur appeared and landed on a leaf in front of me, which turned out to be the first Large Skipper reported this year! So, here he is, as I first saw him, and again a few minutes later, nectaring on Clover and showing how long his proboscis is.
