This Hummingbird Hawkmoth photographed by Paul at Boscombe Cliff Gardens on 13/09/17 is usually not seen until hot summer days and into the autumn. However this year a couple have been noted during winter in the UK suggesting that like Red Admirals they are a migrant species that go into semi hibernation and sometimes emerge on warm winter days.

Paul commented that the park was teeming with five species of butterflies as well as this beautiful little moth.
