Our Branch AGM is not far away. Would you like to join our Committee? If so, let us know, and we can arrange to suggest you for election at the meeting, or you can nominate somebody to stand. Our committee members stand for re-election every three years, so there is always some voting to be done.
Our funds are always helped by the raffle we hold at the AGM, and we need raffle prizes. If you can spare anything and are coming, please bring it with you; if you are unable to attend, let us know you have something and we will see who can pick it up from you. Donations of cakes are also welcome: any left over at the end are sold off, so nothing is wasted and more funds are raised.
We have a really interesting talk arranged, on the Cyril Diver Project, which was a very successful citizen science initiative on Studland. It is being given by David Brown, Property Ecologist for the National Trust on Purbeck.
We will also lead a discussion on how BC Dorset can recruit and motivate more volunteers, so put your thinking caps on and come along with lots of ideas. A lot of you volunteer for the Branch in various ways: what led you to become involved and what keeps you going?
The AGM will take place in Puddletown Village Hall (DT2 8RX) on Saturday 23 February, starting at 2.00pm.
