Martin Down walk

A walk on Martin Down National Nature Reserve on 13/08/2017 found 19 species including this gorgeous second brood Adonis Blue.The walk was held jointly by Butterfly Conservation Dorset Branch and Bournemouth Natural History Society, and was led by Mark Spender. James Gould, who joined the walk tells us that 45 people attended on a warm, sunny morning which became more overcast during lunch.

Although 19 species were recorded, one of the target species: Silver-spotted Skipper was not found.
