If you like getting things in order, and you are reasonably computer literate, could you help Dorset Branch of Butterfly Conservation by becoming our photo librarian? We’ve got lots of photos, some of which are tagged and sorted, but other digital shots need adding and there are some slides to be scanned and added. Our long-term aim is to have photos of all of our butterflies in adult, egg, larval and pupal stages, plus useful oddities and aberrations. Habitat shots will also be included, plus some plants used for food by the caterpillar stages.  Moth photos will also be included, though in a more ad hoc manner. We use our photos for talks and publications.

If you think you might be able to help and would like to know more, please contact Nigel Spring by email on: or phone 01963 23559 or 07981 776767.
