Dingy and Grizzled Skippers now on the wing

Hod Hill is winning the accolades for first sightings at the moment – though it might be first sightings of butterfly-seekers rather than butterflies! 

17 April saw both Dingy and Grizzled Skippers at Hod Hill – with thanks to Andrew Cooper for the report and the photo.

He also reports a Painted Lady at Hambledon Hill (he does like climbing hills, doesn’t he?), which is our fourth Painted Lady sighting this month: others have been reported near Wimborne, in Upton and in West Compton.
