Brilliant weekend at Alners Gorse

Our Spring event at Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve on 7 and 8 May¬† was the best attended yet, with at least 48 people joining in all or part of the weekend’s activities: the camping and BBQ, a dawn walk with the Nightingales, the analysis of the moth catch and the butterfly walk later in the morning. 13 people met at our Alners Gorse Butterfly Reserve on Saturday April 16th for an introduction to the butterfly transect there. The temperature barely broke into double figures and the ground was uncomfortably muddy. Continue reading
